Journal Entry #1

1. I learned how to use different light settings to emphasize your subject. Basics of photoshop showed me that editing pictures is very interesting and helpful. Developing films and printing pictures in the dark room made me feel more connected to photographers from the past. Also I realized that a good photo requires a photographer to go out of the comfort zone and try something new.
2. I really enjoy taking pictures of small details. Close-up is my favorite composition guideline. But this summer showed me how much I miss taking pictures of people, especially my friends. Every time you see a person on a photo you start asking questions such as Who this person is and What his story is. And this is what portraits are about. I like tim, too.
3. A photo has too be unique. It also needs to tell a story. You see it, and you can't forget it because it touches you. Of course, it must have a good lightening, and be on focus, and etc. But only unique photos are special.
4. I'd like to learn more about photoshop. Also I would enjoy to use film camera as much as possible, because I like to take pictures with it and develop them after.
